We are a localy and family owned and ran lumber yard which sales simple remodeling materials to full construction.

Sav-On Discount Building Materials began as a second hand store and has evolved over the years to become one of the area's leading construction, remodeling, and do-it-yourself supply store. In the summer of 1974 Pat and Jake Jacobs bought the second hand store across South Main St. from where we are located now. They began selling molding and other building materials. By 1980 business picked up so fast that they moved completely onto the lot where they we are currently located and built a new store adding a custom door shop, a full line of lumber, and a U-Cart cement plant. We still sale a lot of salvaged building materials, mostly being overstock and/or discontinued items.
