Our clients have included individuals and public institutions, business owners, developers and builders. Completed projects have ranged from mixed use, multi- and single- family buildings, individual apartments and private houses, to offices, a photographer's studio, a fabrics showroom, bars, cafes, and public and retail projects. In 1993 Scott Mahaffey Architect received an Award for Excellence in Design from the Art Commission of the City of New York for the Inwood Hill Park Urban Ecology Center. To each project and client we bring a fresh sheet of paper and no prior expectation of the final design. We don't mind budgets, we like challenges, we enjoy the process and working with contractors and crafsmen to create what are still the largest handmade works of humankind.
