I am a Massachusetts certified English teacher. For more than 20 years, I have been passionate about my teaching and successful working with regular education students as well as special education students at Upper Cape Cod Technical School, Cape Cod Technical School and Cape Cod Community College. I also have a passion for sewing, so I have combined my passion for teaching with my passion for sewing and created my dream Sew, Ooh La La of Cape Cod. My grandmother was a dressmaker by trade. I would spend my visits to her home in Mattapan sitting on the linoleum floor of her sewing room using remnants to create outfits for my dolls. I loved when she took me to the Chinatown fabric stores in Boston on Harrison Avenue. My grandfather purchased my first sewing machine for me. On that most wonderful day of my life, we drove to Boston, and we ventured into Reliable Sewing. I have been stitching ever since. I attend classes, watch instructional videos, and stay up until the early hours of the morning reading books and magazines to improve and practice my craft. Today kids stay up all night playing video games, surfing the net, or texting friends. As a teenager, I would stay up stitching until the early hours of the morning.
