Solid Surface Craftsman

solid surface craftsman is hands down the worst company i have ever worked for. I've watched the owner, Alan Boulant, take a cash payment and when the customer was upset and wanted a refund he told them "there is no record of payment" refused to give the guys money back and told him to take him to court. The bald guy, Eddy Dlugolecki, who failed up in life to become the granite shop lead (and who has ZERO leadership skills) knows NOTHING about granite. The one day he was trying to act like he knew more than he does and he was trying to push off an overpriced piece of granite on this couple (who was not interested in granite, they wanted quartz) and insisted it was a "rare" piece from south America until the customer pointed out to him that it was clearly printed on the back "Product of Italy." Doing installs people would often make small talk and I would converse back, until the guy I was working with insisted that I say nothing to the customer and he would flip out if I simply even said "hi" upon arriving at the customers house. Needless to say I didn't stick around this lousy job for long cause for 12 bucks an hour (for a job that's worth 20 to 25) it wasn't worth casting my pearls amongst this swine. The final straw was getting SCREAMED at in front of a nice couple in their kitchen simply because the guy asked me a question and I answered it. They are more concerned with trying to control the personal lives of their employees than spending time to make sure their customers and treated right. Their turn over rate is atrocious, I watched 6 guys quit on them in a week and they only have a work force of 40 to 50 people. But I'm sure that Alan will find more illegal immigrants to fill the void. if you're looking for a job, I wouldn't recommend working there and if you're looking for a granite or quartz countertop I would go somewhere where the employees care about the customer and taking pride in their work.
