Spencer Training is a Houston-based real estate school that offers courses online, by correspondence and in the classroom. All pre-license courses at the school offer 60 hours of classroom time reviewing the principles of real estate, the Law of Contracts and the Law of Agency. Additionally, students can choose between one and three electives that cover topics such as marketing techniques, appraisals, brokerage and investment management. A Texas real estate exam-prep course is also available and offers on-site computerized mock testing. According to Spencer Training, 98 percent of students who take this prep-course pass the licensing exam on the first try. License renewal courses and ongoing education is also available through the school.
