Reviews for Sycamore Tree

After carefully checking that we could buy olive oil and vinegar in our own bottles, we went into the Sycamore Tree to have them filled and the owner refused to permit it, but couldn't offer any valid reasons. She then spent close to an hour debating with us over it and ended up repeatedly contradicting herself about her policies. What really bugged us, other than that we spent money so we could buy things from them and they refused, was that the employee who first talked to us, the manager, and the owner were all utterly apathetic to the fact that they had seriously inconvenienced us by not honoring policies that they had explained only two weeks earlier. They just couldn't care less that their actions were seriously offensive and rude.

And then I posted a relatively tame 1 star review on their Facebook page and the owner lied about what happened and insulted us, saying that we bullied them (we never rose our voice, used rude language, or insulted anyone - and they had all of the power in the situation, so I'm not sure how that's even possible). The worst thing we could be accused of was refusing to let them pretend that their argument for not accepting our business actually made sense. And, after we spent money so we could buy their products, we deserves a real reason, not lies and logical fallacies that didn't make any sense.

Everything else aside, how can they expect to stay in business when they attack and lie about their customers on Facebook? If you're considering making a purchase from them, just keep in mind that if you try to complain, they may end up publicly lying about you to save face. Despicable.
