Founded in 1997 by a retired teacher, Taking Grades provides teaching materials for popular classroom novels in grades 4 through 8. Included are chapter summaries, prereading ideas, vocabulary, short answer questions, objective tests, thinking/writing prompts based on Bloom's Taxonomy, graphic organizers for writing, and answer keys. We also offer books of brain teasers (seasonal and any-day), analogies, and other language arts activities. Word Trek, exclusive to Taking Grades, is a three year advanced vocabulary/spelling program based on Greek and Latin base words and etymologies. This series is recommended for gifted 4th, 5th, and 6th graders and/or regular 6th-8th grade classrooms.
