Founded by Hollywood veteran Eugene Buica, a passionate actor and teacher, The Acting Corps draws on the teachings of Michael Chekov and Sanford Meisner, among others. The conservatory offers hands-on, practical instruction to actors at diverse stages in their careers. According to Buica, who serves as the Artistic Director of the conservatory, actors are artists who must assume great creative responsibility. In his mission statement for The Acting Corps, Buica writes that choosing acting as a profession "is a choice based on a dream, an inexplicable desire to experience and express the human condition and to do all that in front of others."
