TomastheArtist is the product of a dedicated high schooler, selling his original artwork and offering his photography services to the public.

Three summers ago, I set a goal; to be in an art show by the next year. I had connections to the coordinator of the Mukilteo Waterfront Art Festival, and the idea of selling some of my paintings was exciting. So I did all my research and found the licenses I needed to get and how taxes were done, and I work to build up an inventory. I have participated in that show for the last three years now, and I have really enjoyed having my artwork out in the public. Now, I have moved more towards selling my artwork online via Etsy.com, and offering my photography services to people in my community. Although I loved doing art shows, they were a lot of work and additional stress on my parents and I. I have enjoyed the transition to being more service orientated, and working with people as a portrait photographer. I am going to major in Chemical Engineering at the University of Kansas next year, but will keep my artwork as a strong aspect of my life into perpetuity. My dream is to one day build an art gallery to help bring up other young and aspiring artists like myself.
