Karen Nelson, M.A., CHt, is a certified hypnotherapist, having graduated from Hypnosis Motivation Institute with honors and the coveted Director's Award in January 2010. Karen also has a Master of Arts degree in psychology from California School of Professional Psychology (1984).Karen uses hypnotherapy (of which hypnosis is but one modality) to help people with habits, fears, phobias and other issues that interfere with living one's quality of life and with one's functioning in day to day life (for example, like smoking, nervous tics, insomnia, test-tasking anxiety).Hypnosis is a kind, gentle and fast process (compared to other modalities like psychotherapy) that helps a client overcome sub-consciously motivated behaviors.
