Trek Resources, Inc. is an independent oil and gas producer that is engaged in the exploration, development, exploitation and acquisition of onshore oil and natural gas properties in the United States. The company was incorporated in the State of Utah in 1983 under the name of Quasar-Tech, Inc. and concentrated its efforts in the production of oil and natural gas. In 1992, Quasar-Tech, Inc. merged with a Texas corporation, McGowen Oil & Gas Company, Inc. and changed its name to McGowen Resources Company, Inc. The Company continued operations under this name until June, 2000 when the Company changed its name to Trek Resources, Inc. and became a Delaware corporation.
