I tutor children, preschool through 5th grade. My specialities include Math and Reading.

I believe in teaching through praise and positive reinforcement. A child learns when they feel good about themself. The goal is to make learning fun, and to provide the child with tools to help them problem solve. I adapt my teaching style to the child's method of learning. Each child is an individual, and has a unique learning style. What works for one in a generalized classroom setting, may not work for another. I can also help prepare your child for a specific test, or add support to any subject, as well as provide the accelerated student with enrichment opportunities to challenge them in concepts they are grasping quickly. All children, including those with special learning needs, have the capacity for intellectual growth. They just need the right teaching methods.
