The mission of Uptown Players is to present professional theatre that meets a rising demand in the community for audiences to see a wide diversity of life experiences represented on stage. Productions include plays and musicals with contemporary and alternative lifestyle themes that explore complex and varied situations. There is no other theater group with this unique mission in the Dallas area. Uptown Players performs in the historic Kalita Humphreys Theater on Turtle Creek. Now beginning its eleventh season Uptown, Players has gathered a dedicated following and is providing an opportunity for a wide diversity of gender styles to come together and explore life choices through great theatre themes such as relationships, family, prejudice, and values.
