USTEK was founded in 1987 by employees of Battelle Memorial Institute's technology commercialization arm Scientific Advances Inc. Since then USTEK has assisted in the launch of numerous products including specialty metals, polymer blends, instrumentation, building materials, food procesing, sport equipment, supercritical fluid processing, and nanotechnology based products.
