Business description
bronze forged art, ornamental iron, antique reproduction, contemporary sculpture
Built in 1979, Chris Axelsson started business in full as the village blacksmith in 1980 at northend of The Barnyard Shopping Village off Hiway 1 with study stints in Europe and by finding popular old-timers still active in the US. He proceeded to earn several gold medals from the National Ornamental Metals Manufacturers Association for technique and design and was also awarded a bronze medal by Manfred Bredohl at Vulcanschmeide in Aachen Germany for efforts teaching the american ornamental industry his form and design. Architectural odornments can be found up and down the State of California with iron and bronze work commissions done for the rich and famous. Custom design work and sculpture slowed with the economy and the business was closed the end of 2010 with its 30 year anniversary.
