NO LARGE, UP-FRONT INVESTMENT With Vivint Solar, we use a power purchase agreement (PPA). A PPA lets you avoid a large, up-front investment. Instead of having to finance your system and recoup the investment over 10 to 20 years, we agree to design, install, and maintain your system. You agree to buy the power the system produces, but at a lower rate than you would pay your utility. Using this method, you can start enjoying the savings solar provides your first month. PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED INSTALLERS Each of our installers completes a rigorous training course, which includes both hands-on and classroom training. They become experts in what solar is, how it can benefit you, and how it works. END-TO-END SERVICE Unlike other solar providers, we manage the entire process in-house to ensure that you have a complete and positive experience. 1 SOLAR PANELS Solar cells are combined into panels (sometimes called modules), which include a frame and electrical connections. These panels are what are installed on your roof. 2 MICROINVERTERS Microinverters-installed on the back of each panel-take the DC power generated by your panels and convert it into alternating current (or AC) power, which can be used in your home. 3 NET METER A net meter spins both backward and forward-measuring the electricity you're buying as well as the excess electricity your panels are producing and sending back to the grid. 4 WIRING We select wires and cables that can handle the output from your system.
