Voice Lessons by Nicole

Operatic soprano Nicole Cooper is a soloist, singing instructor, and recording artist available for lessons, music and voice-over projects.

Nicole has had the pleasure of performing with Opera San Jose, Opera Cultura, Lyric Theater of San Jose, Mission City Opera, Fremont Opera, the SongFest Young Artist program, and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Edinburgh Scotland.In concert Nicole has premiered works such as Dos Idilios written for her by Venezuelan composer Abi Romero Ramirez. In 2014 she became a founding member of the Bay Area Opera Collaborative. BayOp received the Second Stages Grant from Dragon Theatre in Redwood City and will stage their first production in 2015. She is a champion of new operatic works, and enjoys performing in productions that make classical music accessible to young and first time audience members.Nicole has been teaching private voice lessons since 2008. Her goal is to help students understand their vocal anatomy and learn healthy breathing and singing technique. She believes that singers should be well rounded musicians who can read music and understand basic piano skills. Her students have performed roles with the Childrens Musical Theater of San Jose (CMTSJ), Roberta Jones Jr. Theatre, Starting Arts Dream Team, Lyric Theater of San Jose, and the San Jose State Theater.Nicole holds a Masters degree in Voice Performance from San Jose State University where she was awarded as the Most Outstanding Graduate Student.
