John's son, Gary Walaschek joined his father in business in 1970 and Gary's son Jesse Walaschek joined the business in 2005 and is now running its day to day operations. The history of Walaschek Sealcoating and Asphalt Paving is an interesting story that really begins with John's move of the business to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1970. John, who was a smart, hard working asphalt contractor, enjoyed his work but did not like having to slow down his business during the cold, Pennsylvania winters.
