Business description

Complicated people who have "given up" on finding effective psychotherapy find emotional relief in my Pasadena office.

In private practice for over 20 years, I provide psychotherapy to individuals, couples & families presenting with a broad range of difficulties. I specialize in treating patients who have been successful in many areas of life, but they're still feeling incomplete, often struggling with deeply entrenched interpersonal & behavioral patterns. In treatment, the childhood roots of self-destructive thoughts & behaviors are explored, and patients learn to replace criticism & shame with kindness. Clients learn to sit still with their emotions, rather than avoiding uncomfortable feelings through compulsive, "busy", or destructive behaviors. Through this process, depression & anxiety are reduced, while self-confidence, assertiveness, creativity, and tolerance for intimacy are increased.
