Business description
The West Suburban Community Pantry (WSCP) is a non-profit organization working to eradicate hunger and improve the quality of life in DuPage County.
The pantry, incorporated in 1992, traces its roots to a local women's group which kept an emergency food supply in a closet of a Woodridge church, beginning in the 1970s. From that humble beginning, the pantry has continued to grow until we now own a 6,000 square foot warehouse/office facility, rent an additional 2,000 square foot warehouse, and are serving all of DuPage County. The West Suburban Community Pantry offers food for the hungry and resources to empower persons to improve their quality of life. Our vision is a community without hunger. One of our goals in working toward that vision is "to provide a balanced and nutritious food supply to those in need." Our mission statement and vision put forth a picture of a community without hunger.
