Biography of the Director Kim McCachren Sellers opened Commerce School of Dance in September of 1995 after dancing professionally with the Ruth Mitchell Dance Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia. High- lights from her 10-year career with Ruth Mitchell include making the company's New York City debut at the Riverside Theatre and performing in two Piccolo Spoleto International Arts Festivals in Charleston, South Carolina. Kim has performed to critical acclaim various featured roles and solos, and as a guest artist, performed with many local choreographers and producers. She portrayed Mexican visual artist Frida Kahlo in a movement theatre piece about her life that was filmed for PBS affiliate Channel 30. This was part of a series that was named runner-up for the Robert Downing Award for l
