Dash Designs does digitizing for embroidery companies

I have been in the embroidery business since 1999 – for the first eight years I had a 6 head Tajima machine in Port Elizabeth, South Africa and did the digitizing and the embroidery. I sold the machine seven years ago and have just been digitizing logo’s ever since, using the Wilcom software that I kept.I work off a base rate of $4.00 per thousand stitches – but it does reduce if it is a really simple logo. If the logo is a circle with a tatami fill, a satin border and three block letters inside the logo, it could be 10 000 stitches but take all of five minutes to do. I feel it is unfair to charge $40.00 for that and would then work on a price that I feel is fair.
