One of the reasons I opened my own consulting business was to assist homeowners with navigating the maze known as the loan modification application process that can take anywhere from 12 to 24 months. The majority of my clients have hired me to help challenge a denial letter that they received from their Lender. One of the most common reasons for denial is noted as "missing documents". On many occasions homeowners are receiving this type of denial letter even though they HAVE provided the documents required by their Lender.
