The Georgia Center for Sight also houses an Ambulatory Surgery Center. It is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). There are many new advances in technology related to Intraocular Lens Implants (IOL). Conventional intraocular lens have been routinely implanted in the human eye after cataract surgery for more than 30 years. It provides excellent vision in conjunction with prescription glasses. Without the aid of glasses, conventional IOLs rarely allow patients to see simultaneously far and near objects clearly. New technology IOLs, were developed to allow patients to see both far and near targets without glasses.
