Dear Landowner: Hello, I am a private consulting forester interested in selectively harvesting timber and helping people lower their property taxes. Would you be interested in a timber appraisal? We can utilize any species, big or small, live or dead. As you probably know, trees only last so long before they start dying back and blowing over. Its good forestry and wildlife management to selectively harvest and let the forest regenerate. The regeneration is important winter browse for deer and grouse. One of the disadvantages of harvesting is the unsightly mess it can make. This mess is minimized in a variety of ways. We chip the logging slash.
